But her allusions to a frighteningly eccentric mother and tyrannical father suggest a somberness at the center of her otherwise flippant and sardonic demeanor. Restless, she journeys from literary New York to rural Maine then across the US and into Mexico, trailed everywhere she goes by a string of murders. More About A Carnivore's Inquiry
Theyd done a good job with the head, the great drooping lips and meaty cheeks. The soprano sang to the head for close to half an hour. I looked over at Boris. He was tapping on the floor with his foot. His pants had ridden up and the sock on his right foota thin black nylon sockhad slid into his shoe. There was about a two-inch space of exposed fleshy ankle. I reached down, carefully, slowly, and pulled up Boriss sock. Boris looked over at me but didnt care, and soonwithout much explanationthe opera ended. Sabina Murray, A Carnivore's Inquiry: A Novel... Halfway through this, I realized that I just didn't care what happened in the rest of the book. I couldn't care less about the boring narrator or the uninteresting people she spent time with. There were some good moments in the beginning. The masturbating orangutan anecdote is perfect. Much of the cannibalism is interesting. But, in... American Psycho , but female and much, much better.
